Time frame:

1 February 2011 to 31 January 2016

Description:

Changes in how DNA is translated by means other than modifications in the basic code are referred to as f epigenetics. The EU-funded IDEAL ageing project has examined the role of epigenetics in growing old, even before birth in the womb. The research also looked into the genetic control of the ageing process. GenomeScan offered its expertise in high-throughput and state-of-the-art molecular testing, providing an insight into the epigenetic mechanisms that underpin the variation in gene expression across life phases and environments for developmental and adult phenotypic plasticity.

Output:

Product (service): The methylation array service (EPIC-array) is now available for all GenomeScan customers.
